Realize It

The global health pandemic has really allowed me to learn a lot about myself, who my Savior is, and the reality of how He sees me.

Today I was reading the scriptures and my spirit settled here:

³³ These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NKJV

To bring this into context, the disciples’ lives were literally about to be turned upside down and they would find themselves in quarantine for almost two months without Jesus. Currently, we are experiencing something similar.

Three things arrest me in this verse: 1. Because of Jesus I can have peace, 2. Tribulation in this world is a guarantee, but I am to be of good cheer, 3. I have overcome the world. These three things turned my whole disposition around because of the simplicity and transferability of this command from Jesus. To be with Jesus Christ affords us boundless, endless spiritual blessings, advantages, protections,  love that surpasses all understanding, to name a few. The only thing that I had to do was realize it.  Major life key!

Bottom line

This pandemic or any other crisis does not have a say in how my story plays out or ends; The Lord Jesus does:o) He has already overcome the world by giving up His life on the cross and rising from the dead with all power and authority; Because I am apart of Him, by faith I have too, (1 John 5:4-5). This realization was what I needed today to pull me out of the downward spiral of despair. So grateful for my eternal position of victory in Jesus Christ!
